Save Money at Entenmanns-Orowheat bakery outlets
When I need bread, Bob’s Red Mill products, and certain other baked goods, I go to the Entenmanns-Orowheat outlet. They have a great selection of both fresh and day old discounted products usually priced at about half of what you would pay at the local grocery stores. They sell everything from hamburger buns, rolls, english muffins, and all kinds of breads, to donuts, crackers, snacks and cookies. I try to forgo the sweets and junk food, but I love the peppery ginger snaps they carry.
Some of the other brands they sell at the outlet I frequent include Bob’s Red Mill (including flours), Thomas’, Lenders, Tia Rosa, Francisco, Boboli pizza, and Tully’s coffee. Sometimes they run (non-advertised) specials that you don’t find out about until you get there, like buy two loaves of bread and get one free. Sometimes certain things are out of stock when you go, like the whole wheat pita bread. It can pay to stock up and freeze perishables.
They give you a pink card and punch a hole for every dollar you spend. When the card is all punched, you get a free item. Sunday is double punch day. If you spend at least $7 whenever you go, you get a free item from their “free” rack. Not long ago, I was able to use my freebie to get a yummy Entenmann’s pound cake which I brought to a party as a dessert along with fresh sliced strawberries from my local farmer’s market and whipped cream.
You can use the website link at the beginning of this post to locate an outlet by zip code. A quick search on google tells me that these outlets are in various locations around northern and southern California as well as Arizona, Texas, Colorado, Oregon, Washington state, Oklahoma and Nebraska. If you’re lucky, you live near one of these!
